Posted almost 3 years ago by Kelly Stauter

Hello Everyone,

The University of South Alabama College of Nursing Nurse Practitioner Residency program is accepting applications for the 2022-2023 residency cohort. The residency program in partnership with USA Health and Franklin Primary Health Center is funded through a federal grant and aims to improve Family Nurse Practitioner readiness to practice with a focus on underserved and rural areas by following the community health center model of primary care.

This program is open to recent graduates with a Master of Science in Nursing degree who are interested in obtaining additional training and the tools needed to provide high-quality patient care in rural and underserved communities. Individuals who completed their Family Nurse Practitioner specialty within the past 18 months and are committed to developing career practices in challenging community-based settings are encouraged to apply.

The deadline to apply has been extended to August 1, 2022. For more information about the 12-month Nurse Practitioner Residency program, please click on the link to navigate to the College of Nursing webpage: Nurse Practitioner Residency in Family Practice
