Hello Everyone,
The University of South Alabama College of Nursing Advanced Nursing Education Nurse Practitioner Residency program is accepting applications for the 2022-2023 residency cohort. The residency program in partnership with USA Health and Franklin Primary Health Center is funded through a federal grant and aims to improve Family Nurse Practitioner readiness to practice with a focus on underserved and rural areas by following the community health center model of primary care.
The program is open to current Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice students who will graduate prior to July 2022, and to individuals who graduated within the past 18 months from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Doctor of Nursing Practice program. Alabama Licensure and Board of Nursing Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner is required prior to start of the program in July 2022.
