Do you currently care for patients with serious, life-limiting illness in rural settings? We are looking for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses in Alabama to share their experiences.

I am an Assistant Professor in the Capstone College of Nursing and am working on a project to explore APRN experiences in caring for seriously ill patients in rural practice settings.

We are recruiting APRNs to participate in the project. Participants are asked to complete one interview via Zoom (no longer than 90 minutes). After the interview, all participants will receive free access to complete the new End of Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) Graduate curriculum ($29 value). Participants will also receive a $75 gift card.

To be eligible to participate in this study, you must meet all the following criteria:
• 18 years or older
• current practice in Alabama as a licensed APRN (Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Anesthetist, or Nurse Midwife
• at least 25% practice time in rural settings
• at least two years of experience as an APRN
• have access to the Internet and computer/tablet (with speaker and microphone)

Your participation is completely voluntary. We know you are busy, so we very much appreciate your consideration. Please email Dr. Megan Lippe (melippe@ua.edu) or call (205-348-4583) if you are interested in participating in the project.

Warmly,

Megan Lippe Ph.D., MSN, RN
